    Title
Qemu-kvm: virtio-snd: heap buffer overflow in virtio_snd_pcm_in_cb (incomplete fix for cve-2024-7730)
    Summary
A flaw was found in QEMU. When reading input audio in the virtio-snd device input callback, the `virtio_snd_pcm_in_cb` function did not check whether the iov could fit the data buffer, potentially leading to a heap out-of-bounds write. This issue exists due to an incomplete fix for CVE-2024-7730.

    CVE-2026-1767 (GCVE-0-2026-1767)

    Vulnerability from cvelistv5 – Published: 2026-06-16 00:34 – Updated: 2026-06-16 14:57
    VLAI
    Title
Localsearch: tracker-miners: gnome localsearch mp3 extractor: heap buffer overflow leading to denial of service or information disclosure via malformed mp3 id3 tags
    Summary
A flaw was found in the GNOME localsearch (previously known as tracker-miners) MP3 Extractor `tracker-extract-mp3` component. A remote attacker could exploit this heap buffer overflow vulnerability by providing a specially crafted MP3 file containing malformed ID3 tags. This incorrect length calculation during the parsing of performer tags can lead to a read beyond the allocated buffer, potentially causing a Denial of Service (DoS) due to a crash or enabling information disclosure.

    Title
Localsearch: tracker-miners: gnome localsearch mp3 extractor: denial of service and information disclosure via malformed mp3 files.
    Summary
A flaw was found in GNOME localsearch (previously known as tracker-miners) MP3 Extractor, specifically within the tracker-extract-mp3 component. This heap buffer overflow vulnerability occurs when processing specially crafted MP3 files containing malformed ID3v2.3 COMM (Comment) tags. An attacker could exploit this by providing a malicious MP3 file, leading to a denial of service (DoS), which causes an application crash, and potentially disclosing sensitive information from the heap memory.

    Title
Localsearch: tracker-miners: gnome localsearch mp3 extractor: heap buffer overflow leads to denial of service or information disclosure when parsing mp3 files
    Summary
A flaw was found in GNOME localsearch (previously known as tracker-miners) MP3 Extractor. When processing specially crafted MP3 files containing ID3v2.4 tags, a missing bounds check in the `extract_performers_tags` function can lead to a heap buffer overflow. This vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) by triggering a read of unmapped memory. In some cases, it could also lead to information disclosure by reading visible heap data.

    Title
Libucl: libucl: denial of service via embedded null byte in ucl input
    Summary
A flaw was found in libucl. A remote attacker could exploit this by providing a specially crafted Universal Configuration Language (UCL) input that contains a key with an embedded null byte. This can cause a segmentation fault (SEGV fault) in the `ucl_object_emit` function when parsing and emitting the object, leading to a Denial of Service (DoS) for the affected system.

    Title
Moodle: moodle: improper input sanitization in tex filter administration setting
    Summary
A vulnerability was found in a Moodle TeX filter administrative setting where insufficient sanitization of configuration input could allow command injection. On sites where the TeX filter is enabled and ImageMagick is installed, a maliciously crafted setting value entered by an administrator could result in unintended system command execution. While exploitation requires administrative privileges, successful compromise could affect the entire Moodle server.

    Title
Moodle: moodle: improper validation in file restore functionality leading to remote code execution
    Summary
A flaw was identified in Moodle’s backup restore functionality where specially crafted backup files were not properly validated during processing. If a malicious backup file is restored, it could lead to unintended execution of server-side code. Since restore capabilities are typically available to privileged users, exploitation requires authenticated access. Successful exploitation could result in full compromise of the Moodle server.

    Title
Github.com/supranational/blst: blst cryptographic library: denial of service via out-of-bounds stack write in key generation
    Summary
A flaw was found in the blst cryptographic library. This out-of-bounds stack write vulnerability, specifically in the blst_sha256_bcopy assembly routine, occurs due to a missing zero-length guard. A remote attacker can exploit this by providing a zero-length salt parameter to key generation functions, such as blst_keygen_v5(), if the application exposes this functionality. Successful exploitation leads to memory corruption and immediate process termination, resulting in a denial-of-service (DoS) condition.

    Vulnerability from cvelistv5 – Published: 2026-02-18 20:49 – Updated: 2026-02-19 14:35
    VLAI
    Title
Qemu-kvm: uefi-vars: information disclosure vulnerability in uefi_vars_write callback
    Summary
A flaw was found in QEMU in the uefi-vars virtual device. When the guest writes to register UEFI_VARS_REG_BUFFER_SIZE, the .write callback `uefi_vars_write` is invoked. The function allocates a heap buffer without zeroing the memory, leaving the buffer filled with residual data from prior allocations. When the guest later reads from register UEFI_VARS_REG_PIO_BUFFER_TRANSFER, the .read callback `uefi_vars_read` returns leftover metadata or other sensitive process memory from the previously allocated buffer, leading to an information disclosure vulnerability.

    Title
    Qemu-kvm: unbounded allocation in virtio-crypto
    Summary
A flaw was found in the virtio-crypto device of QEMU. A malicious guest operating system can exploit a missing length limit in the AKCIPHER path, leading to uncontrolled memory allocation. This can result in a denial of service (DoS) on the host system by causing the QEMU process to terminate unexpectedly.

    CVE-2025-1272 (GCVE-0-2025-1272)

    Vulnerability from cvelistv5 – Published: 2026-02-18 20:29 – Updated: 2026-02-26 16:18
    VLAI
    Title
Kernel: secure boot does not automatically enable kernel lockdown
    Summary
The Linux Kernel lockdown mode for kernel versions starting on 6.12 and above for Fedora Linux has the lockdown mode disabled without any warning. This may allow an attacker to gain access to sensitive information such kernel memory mappings, I/O ports, BPF and kprobes. Additionally unsigned modules can be loaded, leading to execution of untrusted code breaking breaking any Secure Boot protection. This vulnerability affects only Fedora Linux.

    Title
Ffmpeg: double-free vulnerability in ffmpeg tensorflow dnn backend
    Summary
A flaw was found in FFmpeg’s TensorFlow backend within the libavfilter/dnn_backend_tf.c source file. The issue occurs in the dnn_execute_model_tf() function, where a task object is freed multiple times in certain error-handling paths. This redundant memory deallocation can lead to a double-free condition, potentially causing FFmpeg or any application using it to crash when processing TensorFlow-based DNN models. This results in a denial-of-service scenario but does not allow arbitrary code execution under normal conditions.

    Title
Ffmpeg: null pointer dereference in firequalizer filter (libavfilter/af_firequalizer.c)
    Summary
A NULL pointer dereference vulnerability exists in FFmpeg’s Firequalizer filter (libavfilter/af_firequalizer.c) due to a missing check on the return value of av_malloc_array() in the config_input() function. An attacker could exploit this by tricking a victim into processing a crafted media file with the Firequalizer filter enabled, causing the application to dereference a NULL pointer and crash, leading to denial of service.

    Title
Dropbear: privilege escalation via unix domain socket forwardings
    Summary
A flaw was found in Dropbear. When running in multi-user mode and authenticating users, the dropbear ssh server does the socket forwardings requested by the remote client as root, only switching to the logged-in user upon spawning a shell or performing some operations like reading the user's files. With the recent ability of also using unix domain sockets as the forwarding destination any user able to log in via ssh can connect to any unix socket with the root's credentials, bypassing both file system restrictions and any SO_PEERCRED / SO_PASSCRED checks performed by the peer.

    Title
Moodle: moodle: privilege escalation via incomplete role checks in badge awarding
    Summary
A flaw was found in Moodle. An authorization logic flaw, specifically due to incomplete role checks during the badge awarding process, allowed badges to be granted without proper verification. This could enable unauthorized users to obtain badges they are not entitled to, potentially leading to privilege escalation or unauthorized access to certain features.

    Title
Mooodle: mooodle: information disclosure and script execution via reflected cross-site scripting
    Summary
A flaw was found in mooodle. A remote attacker could exploit a reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the policy tool return URL. This vulnerability arises from insufficient sanitization of URL parameters, allowing attackers to inject malicious scripts through specially crafted links. Successful exploitation could lead to information disclosure or arbitrary client-side script execution within the user's browser.

    Title
Moodle: moodle: formula injection allows arbitrary formula execution via unescaped data export
    Summary
A flaw was found in moodle. This formula injection vulnerability occurs when data fields are exported without proper escaping. A remote attacker could exploit this by providing malicious data that, when exported and opened in a spreadsheet, allows arbitrary formulas to execute. This can lead to compromised data integrity and unintended operations within the spreadsheet.

    Title
Moodle: moodle: remote code execution via insufficient restore input validation
    Summary
A flaw was found in Moodle. An attacker with access to the restore interface could trigger server-side execution of arbitrary code. This is due to insufficient validation of restore input, which leads to unintended interpretation by core restore routines. Successful exploitation could result in a full compromise of the Moodle application.
