RHSA-2026:1690
Vulnerability from csaf_redhat - Published: 2026-02-02 10:10 - Updated: 2026-08-27 07:57A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's irqchip/gic-v2m component. This vulnerability allows a use-after-free condition via gicv2m_get_fwnode() being wrongly marked as __init, causing it to be freed while still registered with the PCI (Peripheral Component Interconnect) subsystem during a PCI host bridge probe.

The root cause is: the function ib_device_rename() renames the name with lock. But in the function kobject_uevent(), this name is accessed without lock protection at the same time. The solution is to add the lock protection when this name is accessed in the function kobject_uevent().
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's eventpoll (epoll) mechanism. A local attacker could exploit a use-after-free vulnerability due to incorrect handling of the 'ep' refcount while the 'ep' mutex is still held. This can lead to memory corruption, potentially allowing the attacker to achieve privilege escalation or execute arbitrary code on the system.
A use-after-free flaw was found in io_uring/msg_ring in the Linux Kernel. In this flaw io_kiocb freeing is deferred for RCU which can lead to a kernel information leak problem.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/sched: mqprio: fix stack out-of-bounds write in tc entry parsing TCA_MQPRIO_TC_ENTRY_INDEX is validated using NLA_POLICY_MAX(NLA_U32, TC_QOPT_MAX_QUEUE), which allows the value TC_QOPT_MAX_QUEUE (16). This leads to a 4-byte out-of-bounds stack write in the fp[] array, which only has room for 16 elements (0–15). Fix this by changing the policy to allow only up to TC_QOPT_MAX_QUEUE - 1.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/xe: Fix vm_bind_ioctl double free bug If the argument check during an array bind fails, the bind_ops are freed twice as seen below. Fix this by setting bind_ops to NULL after freeing. ================================================================== BUG: KASAN: double-free in xe_vm_bind_ioctl+0x1b2/0x21f0 [xe] Free of addr ffff88813bb9b800 by task xe_vm/14198 CPU: 5 UID: 0 PID: 14198 Comm: xe_vm Not tainted 6.16.0-xe-eudebug-cmanszew+ #520 PREEMPT(full) Hardware name: Intel Corporation Alder Lake Client Platform/AlderLake-P DDR5 RVP, BIOS ADLPFWI1.R00.2411.A02.2110081023 10/08/2021 Call Trace: <TASK> dump_stack_lvl+0x82/0xd0 print_report+0xcb/0x610 ? __virt_addr_valid+0x19a/0x300 ? xe_vm_bind_ioctl+0x1b2/0x21f0 [xe] kasan_report_invalid_free+0xc8/0xf0 ? xe_vm_bind_ioctl+0x1b2/0x21f0 [xe] ? xe_vm_bind_ioctl+0x1b2/0x21f0 [xe] check_slab_allocation+0x102/0x130 kfree+0x10d/0x440 ? should_fail_ex+0x57/0x2f0 ? xe_vm_bind_ioctl+0x1b2/0x21f0 [xe] xe_vm_bind_ioctl+0x1b2/0x21f0 [xe] ? __pfx_xe_vm_bind_ioctl+0x10/0x10 [xe] ? __lock_acquire+0xab9/0x27f0 ? lock_acquire+0x165/0x300 ? drm_dev_enter+0x53/0xe0 [drm] ? find_held_lock+0x2b/0x80 ? drm_dev_exit+0x30/0x50 [drm] ? drm_ioctl_kernel+0x128/0x1c0 [drm] drm_ioctl_kernel+0x128/0x1c0 [drm] ? __pfx_xe_vm_bind_ioctl+0x10/0x10 [xe] ? find_held_lock+0x2b/0x80 ? __pfx_drm_ioctl_kernel+0x10/0x10 [drm] ? should_fail_ex+0x57/0x2f0 ? __pfx_xe_vm_bind_ioctl+0x10/0x10 [xe] drm_ioctl+0x352/0x620 [drm] ? __pfx_drm_ioctl+0x10/0x10 [drm] ? __pfx_rpm_resume+0x10/0x10 ? do_raw_spin_lock+0x11a/0x1b0 ? find_held_lock+0x2b/0x80 ? __pm_runtime_resume+0x61/0xc0 ? rcu_is_watching+0x20/0x50 ? trace_irq_enable.constprop.0+0xac/0xe0 xe_drm_ioctl+0x91/0xc0 [xe] __x64_sys_ioctl+0xb2/0x100 ? rcu_is_watching+0x20/0x50 do_syscall_64+0x68/0x2e0 entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x76/0x7e RIP: 0033:0x7fa9acb24ded (cherry picked from commit a01b704527c28a2fd43a17a85f8996b75ec8492a)
A use-after-free flaw was found in ip6_autoflowlabel in the Linux kernel's net/ipv6/ip6_output.c code. In this flaw an attacker can cause a denial of service (DoS) attack.
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel’s ASoC Intel bytcr_rt5640 driver. When an invalid value is passed via the driver’s “quirk” input option, the driver merely logs an error and retains the invalid value, rather than correcting it. This can result in out-of-bounds (OOB) memory access.
A use-after-free flaw was found in ip6_finish_output2 in net/ipv6/ip6_output.c in ipv6 access. This flaw could allow an attacker to crash the system at device disconnect. This vulnerability could even lead to a kernel information leak problem.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: use dst_dev_rcu() in sk_setup_caps() Use RCU to protect accesses to dst->dev from sk_setup_caps() and sk_dst_gso_max_size(). Also use dst_dev_rcu() in ip6_dst_mtu_maybe_forward(), and ip_dst_mtu_maybe_forward(). ip4_dst_hoplimit() can use dst_dev_net_rcu().
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's `vsock` component. This vulnerability occurs when a `connect()` operation on an already established socket is interrupted by a signal or timeout, causing the system to mishandle the socket's state. This incorrect handling can lead to a race condition, potentially resulting in memory corruption, such as a use-after-free or null-pointer dereference. A local attacker could exploit this to cause a denial of service or potentially escalate privileges.
A dangling pointer access problem was found while devl_rate_nodes_destroy in net/devlink/rate.c in devlink in the Linux Kernel. This flaw may allow an attacker to cause a denial of service.
A race in mptcp_schedule_work() could lead to a use-after-free: the function queued work and only then acquired a reference to the socket. If the worker ran to completion immediately, the subsequent sock_hold() operated on a freed object. Impact ranges from kernel crash (DoS) to potential privilege escalation for a local user able to create MPTCP sockets.
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel. This use-after-free (UAF) vulnerability occurs in the `proc_readdir_de()` function within the `/proc` filesystem. A local attacker with low privileges can exploit this by concurrently traversing specific directories while network devices are unregistered. This can lead to a use-after-free condition, potentially resulting in information disclosure, privilege escalation, or a denial of service (DoS).
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's Bluetooth management (MGMT) subsystem. A local attacker could exploit an out-of-bounds (OOB) write vulnerability in the `parse_adv_monitor_pattern()` function. This occurs when user-controlled input for the `length` variable exceeds the buffer's capacity during a copy operation, potentially leading to information disclosure and a denial of service (DoS).
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's Bluetooth component. A local attacker with low privileges could exploit a vulnerability in the Host Controller Interface (HCI) event processing. This issue arises from improper handling of command complete events with unknown opcodes, which can lead to the system attempting to read from uninitialized memory. Successful exploitation could result in the disclosure of sensitive information or cause the system to become unavailable (a denial of service).
A use-after-free flaw was found in hci_cmd_sync_dequeue_once in net/bluetooth/hci_sync.c in Bluetooth: hci_sync in Linux Kernel. This vulnerability could even lead to a kernel information leak problem.
An out-of-bounds write vulnerability was found in the Aquantia Atlantic network driver in the Linux kernel. When receiving packets that span more than MAX_SKB_FRAGS (17) fragments, the driver writes beyond the skb fragment array bounds in skb_add_rx_frag(), causing kernel memory corruption and panic.
A use-after-free vulnerability was found in the Linux kernel's Bluetooth HCI socket implementation. A race condition between socket bind and write operations allows mgmt_pending to free a command structure while write_iter is still attempting to send it, resulting in use-after-free when the freed memory is accessed.
