    Title
RabbitMQ Java client: Frame-level OOM: Math.min(maxInboundMessageBodySize, 0) defeats frame size enforcement
    Summary
The RabbitMQ Java client library allows Java and JVM-based applications to connect to and interact with RabbitMQ nodes. Prior to 5.34.0, AMQConnection.start() applies Math.min(maxInboundMessageBodySize, frameMax) after Connection.Tune negotiation even though AMQP defines frameMax value zero as unlimited and ConnectionFactory.DEFAULT_FRAME_MAX is zero. When the client default and server-negotiated value are both zero, the result is passed to Utils.framePayloadLimit(int), which interprets zero as Integer.MAX_VALUE and disables the configured maxInboundMessageBodySize cap. A malicious AMQP server, or a man-in-the-middle attacker able to modify Connection.Tune and inject frames into the connection, can then send an oversized frame of any frame type, causing Frame.readFrom() to allocate a large byte array before content-level validation and potentially terminate the client process through memory exhaustion. This issue is fixed in version 5.34.0.

    Title
RabbitMQ amqp091-go: Denial of Service via Malicious Field Length in AMQP Client
    Summary
RabbitMQ amqp091-go is a Go AMQP 0.9.1 client. Prior to 1.13.0, readField in read.go reads the length of an AMQP byte-array field with type tag x into a signed int32 and passes the value directly to make when allocating the field buffer. A malicious or compromised broker can encode a value such as 0xFFFFFFFF, which becomes -1 and causes a len out of range runtime panic. The panic escapes the network reader goroutine and terminates the client process, including during connection.start server properties or message header table parsing. This issue is fixed in version 1.13.0.

    Title
RabbitMQ amqp091-go: Protocol Desynchronization and Frame Injection via Integer Overflow in readLongstr
    Summary
RabbitMQ amqp091-go is a Go AMQP 0.9.1 client. Prior to 1.13.0, readLongstr in read.go returns an empty string and a nil error when a declared AMQP longstr length exceeds 0x7FFFFFFF instead of returning ErrSyntax. The function leaves the declared field bytes unread, while readTable treats the operation as successful and continues parsing from the wrong offset. A malicious or compromised broker can provide an oversized longstr in a table field and desynchronize subsequent AMQP parsing, causing attacker-controlled trailing bytes to be interpreted as later fields or frames and disrupting connection integrity and availability. This issue is fixed in version 1.13.0.

This issue is fixed in version 1.13.0."

    Title
RabbitMQ amqp091-go: Resource Exhaustion (OOM) via Unbounded Body Buffer Allocation
    Summary
RabbitMQ amqp091-go is a Go AMQP 0.9.1 client. Prior to 1.13.0, Channel.recvContent in channel.go preallocates the message body slice with the uint64 ch.header.Size value supplied by an AMQP content header without capping the allocation to the negotiated Connection.Config.FrameSize value. A malicious or compromised broker can send an extreme declared body size and cause the Go runtime to attempt a correspondingly large allocation before body data is received. The allocation can exhaust memory and terminate the client process. This issue is fixed in version 1.13.0.

    Title
RabbitMQ amqp091-go: Denial of Service via Synchronous Event Channel Blocking
    Summary
RabbitMQ amqp091-go is a Go AMQP 0.9.1 client. Prior to 1.13.0, Channel.dispatch in channel.go, confirms.confirm in confirms.go, and Connection.dispatch0 in connection.go synchronously send publisher confirmations, flow-control events, consumer cancellations, returned messages, including NotifyConfirm events and connection block notifications, to application-provided channels. If a listener channel is unbuffered, full, or not drained promptly, the sole reader goroutine blocks and stops processing frames, acknowledgments, deliveries, and heartbeats. Broker-driven event bursts can therefore cause connection stalls, missed heartbeats, deadlocks, and disconnection. This issue is fixed in version 1.13.0.

    Title
RabbitMQ amqp091-go: Silent Data Truncation and State Corruption via Shortstr Integer Overflow
    Summary
RabbitMQ amqp091-go is a Go AMQP 0.9.1 client. Prior to 1.13.0, the writeShortstr function in write.go casts the byte length of AMQP shortstr property values to uint8 without first rejecting values longer than 255 bytes. An application that accepts an oversized CorrelationId, ReplyTo, MessageId, Expiration, UserId, AppId, ContentType, ContentEncoding, or Type value can therefore serialize a wrapped length and only a truncated prefix, while reporting no error. The resulting silent metadata corruption can break request and reply correlation, routing, tracing, and downstream message processing. This issue is fixed in version 1.13.0.

    Title
RabbitMQ amqp091-go: Plaintext Credential Exposure via Exported PLAIN Authentication Struct Fields
    Summary
RabbitMQ amqp091-go is a Go AMQP 0.9.1 client. Prior to 1.13.0, PlainAuth values defined in auth.go retain passwords as exported plaintext fields in Connection.Config.SASL after a successful PLAIN authentication handshake. The Connection.openComplete method in connection.go does not clear those values. Code with access to the Connection object, including reflective loggers, application performance monitoring agents, debugging utilities, and panic handlers, can traverse the configuration and expose the credentials to logs or state captures. The credential remains available for the lifetime of the connection instead of being cleared after authentication. This issue is fixed in version 1.13.0.

    Title
RabbitMQ amqp091-go: Consumer Message Flooding via Signed-to-Unsigned Integer Casting in Qos Configuration
    Summary
RabbitMQ amqp091-go is a Go AMQP 0.9.1 client. Prior to 1.13.0, Channel.Qos in channel.go accepts negative prefetchCount and prefetchSize integers and casts them directly to uint16 and uint32 fields in the basic.qos method because validateQos is absent. Values such as -1 therefore wrap to 65535 or 4294967295 instead of being rejected. An application that permits untrusted configuration of these Qos values can unintentionally request extremely large prefetch limits, allowing a broker to deliver enough queued messages to exhaust client memory and disrupt processing. This issue is fixed in version 1.13.0.

    Title
RabbitMQ amqp091-go: Missing Explicit TLS Minimum Version Configuration In URI Parser
    Summary
RabbitMQ amqp091-go is a Go AMQP 0.9.1 client. Prior to 1.13.0, tlsConfigFromURI in uri.go creates tls.Config values without setting MinVersion to tls.VersionTLS12. Builds using a Go runtime whose default permits TLS 1.0 or TLS 1.1 can therefore negotiate an obsolete protocol version when connecting through an amqps URI. A network attacker able to influence TLS negotiation with such a legacy build may weaken transport protection for AMQP messages and credentials. This issue is fixed in version 1.13.0.

    Title
RabbitMQ amqp091-go: Connection Configuration Overwrite via Unsanitized TLS Path Parameter Injection
    Summary
RabbitMQ amqp091-go is a Go AMQP 0.9.1 client. Prior to 1.13.0, URI.String in uri.go concatenates CertFile, KeyFile, CACertFile, and ServerName values directly into an AMQPS query string instead of encoding them as URL query parameters with url.Values. If an application accepts a TLS asset path containing ampersand or equals delimiters and later reparses the serialized URI with ParseURI, the embedded delimiters can create or overwrite connection options, including paths to TLS certificate, key, or CA files. This can corrupt connection configuration or select unintended local cryptographic assets. This issue is fixed in version 1.13.0.

    Title
RabbitMQ amqp091-go: Denial of Service via Sub-Spec Frame Size Negotiation
    Summary
RabbitMQ amqp091-go is a Go AMQP 0.9.1 client. Prior to 1.13.0, Connection.openTune in connection.go accepts a server-advertised FrameMax below the AMQP frameMinSize value of 4096 bytes because the connection negotiation loop does not enforce the protocol minimum. A malicious or compromised AMQP broker can therefore advertise an extremely small FrameMax, causing later client publications to be fragmented into excessive numbers of frames and write operations. This can consume CPU and stall the client or its host. This issue is fixed in version 1.13.0.

    Title
amqp091-go has a Potential Memory Exhaustion/Protocol Violation via Broker-Controlled Oversized Payload
    Summary
amqp091-go is a Go AMQP 0.9.1 client. Before version 1.13.0, a compromised or malicious AMQP broker can force the client to allocate resources for and process content body frames that exceed the negotiated frame_max limit. This can lead to unexpected memory consumption or application-layer denial of service (DoS), bypassing the protocol's built-in framing constraints. Version 1.13.0 contains a fix. No known workarounds are available.

    Title
RabbitMQ Java client ValueReader: Unbounded recursive table/array nesting causes StackOverflowError DoS
    Summary
The RabbitMQ Java client library allows Java and JVM-based applications to connect to and interact with RabbitMQ nodes. Prior to 5.33.1, src/main/java/com/rabbitmq/client/impl/ValueReader.java permits ValueReader.readTable and ValueReader.readArray to call ValueReader.readFieldValue recursively for AMQP table type F and AMQP array type A values without a nesting-depth limit. A malicious AMQP server or network intermediary can send approximately 580 nested table levels in the pre-authentication connection.start frame, fitting within the default 131072-byte frame maximum, to trigger StackOverflowError. The error terminates the client input processing thread and causes denial of service. This issue is fixed in version 5.33.1.

    CVE-2026-69219 (GCVE-0-2026-69219)

    Vulnerability from nvd – Published: 2026-08-18 16:23 – Updated: 2026-08-19 14:51

    Title
RabbitMQ Java client ValueReader: Oversized LongString/bytes length triggers OOM via unchecked allocation
    Summary
The RabbitMQ Java client library allows Java and JVM-based applications to connect to and interact with RabbitMQ nodes. Prior to 5.33.1, src/main/java/com/rabbitmq/client/impl/ValueReader.java uses ValueReader.readBytes to accept a wire-declared contentLength below Integer.MAX_VALUE and allocate a byte array before checking the bytes available in the frame. A malicious AMQP peer can send a LongString or byte-array field with type tag S and a declared length such as 0x7FFFFFFE during the pre-authentication connection.start server-properties table, causing an approximately 2 GB allocation and OutOfMemoryError before readFully consumes data. The resulting memory exhaustion can terminate the JVM and cause denial of service. This issue is fixed in version 5.33.1.

    Title
RabbitMQ Java client: Unvalidated Class.forName in JSON-RPC ProcedureDescription enables arbitrary class loading
    Summary
The RabbitMQ Java client library allows Java and JVM-based applications to connect to and interact with RabbitMQ nodes. Prior to 5.33.0, com.rabbitmq.tools.jsonrpc.ProcedureDescription receives a javaReturnType value in an untrusted system.describe response and passes it through JSONUtil.tryFill, setJavaReturnType, and computeReturnTypeAsJavaClass to Class.forName(javaReturnType) with initialization enabled. An attacker able to answer the JsonRpcClient request through a shared broker or network interception can select a class already present in the victim JVM and trigger its static initializer, while JsonRpcClient.java later passes getReturnType output to mapper.parse and may also create type confusion. Successful exploitation can affect confidentiality, integrity, and availability in the client process. This issue is fixed in version 5.33.0.

    Title
RabbitMQ Java client: TrustEverythingTrustManager used by default in useSslProtocol() enables MITM
    Summary
The RabbitMQ Java client library allows Java and JVM-based applications to connect to and interact with RabbitMQ nodes. Prior to 5.33.0, com.rabbitmq.client.ConnectionFactory.useSslProtocol() and ConnectionFactory.useSslProtocol(String) configure com.rabbitmq.client.TrustEverythingTrustManager and leave hostname verification disabled, causing arbitrary server certificates, including self-signed certificates, to be accepted. A network attacker able to intercept a TLS connection can impersonate the RabbitMQ broker, read protected AMQP traffic, and modify traffic without certificate or hostname validation. The fix changes the production TLS helpers to use the JVM default trust store and enables hostname verification, while retaining an explicitly named development-only no-verification helper. This issue is fixed in version 5.33.0.

    Title
RabbitMQ Java client malformed body frame triggers raw command assembler exception
    Summary
The RabbitMQ Java client library allows Java and JVM-based applications to connect to and interact with RabbitMQ nodes. Prior to 5.31.0, inbound AMQP command assembly in src/main/java/com/rabbitmq/client/impl/CommandAssembler.java processes a content-bearing method and header whose remainingBodyBytes value is smaller than a following AMQP.FRAME_BODY payload. CommandAssembler.consumeBodyFrame subtracts the peer-controlled payload length before validating that it fits, drives remainingBodyBytes negative, and throws a raw UnsupportedOperationException instead of MalformedFrameException. A malicious or compromised broker peer can send this malformed sequence on an open nonzero channel to terminate frame processing and close the client connection, causing denial of service for work using that connection. This issue is fixed in version 5.31.0.

    Title
RabbitMQ Java client accepts broker frames larger than the negotiated AMQP frame_max
    Summary
The RabbitMQ Java client library allows Java and JVM-based applications to connect to and interact with RabbitMQ nodes. Prior to 5.33.0, the AMQP connection tuning path records the negotiated AMQP frame_max value, but src/main/java/com/rabbitmq/client/impl/SocketFrameHandler.java and NettyFrameHandlerFactory continue to validate broker-controlled frame payload lengths against maxInboundMessageBodySize because the negotiated limit is not applied consistently through setMaxInboundFramePayloadSize. A malicious or compromised broker can send a method frame larger than the negotiated frame_max during or after connection establishment, causing the client to allocate and decode a protocol-invalid frame instead of rejecting it with MalformedFrameException. The protocol violation can disrupt the affected connection and cause client-side denial of service. This issue is fixed in version 5.33.0.

    Title
amqp091-go has a Potential Memory Exhaustion/Protocol Violation via Broker-Controlled Oversized Payload
    Summary
amqp091-go is a Go AMQP 0.9.1 client.

Before version 1.13.0, a compromised or malicious AMQP broker can force the client to allocate resources for and process content body frames that exceed the negotiated frame_max limit. This can lead to unexpected memory consumption or application-layer denial of service (DoS), bypassing the protocol\u0027s built-in framing constraints. Version 1.13.0 contains a fix.
