Summary
SSA-580125: Multiple Vulnerabilities in SIMATIC eaSie
Notes
Summary
SIMATIC eaSie contains multiple vulnerabilities that could allow an
attacker to send arbitrary messages to the underlying message passing
framework of the affected system or crash the attached application.
Siemens has released an update for the SIMATIC eaSie Core Package and
recommends to update to the latest version.
General Recommendations
As a general security measure, Siemens strongly recommends to protect
network access to devices with appropriate mechanisms. In order to
operate the devices in a protected IT environment, Siemens recommends
to configure the environment according to Siemens' operational
guidelines for Industrial Security (Download:
https://www.siemens.com/cert/operational-guidelines-industrial-
security), and to follow the recommendations in the product manuals.
