    CVE-2026-73198 (GCVE-0-2026-73198)

    Vulnerability from nvd – Published: 2026-08-20 10:39 – Updated: 2026-08-20 15:38
    VLAI
    Title
Ipa: freeipa: unauthenticated dos in `/ipa/i18n_messages` via unbounded request body read
    Summary
A flaw was found in FreeIPA. A remote, unauthenticated attacker can exploit a vulnerability in the `/ipa/i18n_messages` endpoint by sending an arbitrarily large request body. This can cause the service to consume excessive memory, leading to memory exhaustion, degraded responsiveness, and a denial of service (DoS) condition.

A restart of the Apache HTTP Server (`httpd`) service is required for the changes to take effect, which may temporarily impact FreeIPA service availability. CVE-2026-73197 (GCVE-0-2026-73197)

    Vulnerability from nvd – Published: 2026-08-20 10:31 – Updated: 2026-08-25 14:25
    VLAI
    Title
Ipa: freeipa: unauthenticated dos in `/ipa/migration/migration.py` via unbounded request body read
    Summary
A flaw was found in FreeIPA. A remote, unauthenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability by sending oversized form POST requests to the `/ipa/migration/migration.py` endpoint. This can force the migration handler to read attacker-controlled request bodies fully into memory, leading to increased memory usage, slower request handling, and potential service disruption or denial of service.

    CVE-2026-73196 (GCVE-0-2026-73196)

    Vulnerability from nvd – Published: 2026-08-20 10:31 – Updated: 2026-08-20 15:19
    VLAI
    Title
Ipa: freeipa: authenticated dos in `otptoken-add` via unbounded otp key decoding/re-encoding
    Summary
A flaw was found in FreeIPA. A low-privilege authenticated user can exploit this vulnerability by submitting an oversized One-Time Password (OTP) key value. This oversized key is then decoded and re-encoded without proper size limits, consuming excessive CPU and memory resources. This can lead to a denial of service, degrading the availability of the IPA service.

    CVE-2026-13097 (GCVE-0-2026-13097)

    Vulnerability from nvd – Published: 2026-08-20 10:37 – Updated: 2026-08-21 18:12
    VLAI
    Title
Ipa: privilege escalation via krbcanonicalname manipulation due to realm-unaware uniqueness enforcement in freeipa ldap datastore
    Summary
A privilege escalation flaw was found in FreeIPA. The uniqueness constraint enforced on Kerberos principal name attributes in the 389-ds directory server does not properly account for equivalent representations of the same principal name, allowing a user with sufficient LDAP write privileges to create a service principal that impersonates an existing privileged one. This can lead to unauthorized acquisition of Kerberos service tickets for sensitive services, potentially resulting in full domain compromise.

    CVE-2026-11861 (GCVE-0-2026-11861)

    Vulnerability from nvd – Published: 2026-08-20 10:39 – Updated: 2026-08-20 13:48
    VLAI
    Title
Freeipa: idm: ipa: freeipa: obtaining tgs with impersonating cname through trust relationships
    Summary
A flaw was found in FreeIPA. When a trust relationship is configured between FreeIPA and Active Directory, Active Directory users can bypass authentication for FreeIPA services, including the portal, SMB server, and LDAP directory. This is possible by impersonating a client name in the Ticket Granting Service (TGS) due to FreeIPA services not verifying Privilege Attribute Certificate (PAC) certificates. This vulnerability could allow an authenticated Active Directory user to escalate their privileges within the FreeIPA domain.

    Title
Quay: unauthenticated exported logs download in quay
    Summary
A flaw was found in Red Hat Quay's exported logs feature. An unauthenticated attacker with a valid file ID could download exported action logs without proper authorization. While file IDs are complex, they can be intercepted from plaintext email or webhook callbacks. This vulnerability leads to information disclosure, potentially exposing sensitive data such as usernames, email addresses, IP addresses, and action-specific metadata.

    Title
Quay: stripe webhook accepts forged events without signature verification in quay
    Summary
A flaw was found in Red Hat Quay's Stripe billing webhook handler. This vulnerability allows an unauthenticated attacker to forge billing events by sending crafted JSON requests to the `/webhooks/stripe` endpoint without validating the Stripe-Signature header. Successful exploitation can lead to the unauthorized resetting of a namespace's build quota to its maximum and trigger unsolicited billing emails to namespace administrators.

    Title
Quay: unauthenticated secscan notification endpoint in quay when psk is unset
    Summary
A flaw was found in Red Hat Quay. When the SECURITY_SCANNER_V4_PSK (pre-shared key) is not set, a remote unauthenticated attacker can send POST requests to the security scanner notification endpoint. This allows the attacker to flood the notification queue and inject path traversal characters into Clair API URL paths. The primary consequence is worker resource exhaustion and blind path manipulation on the configured Clair host, potentially leading to a denial of service.

    VLAI
    Title
Quay: repository notification uuid idor in quay api
    Summary
A flaw was found in Red Hat Quay. An administrator of any repository, by knowing or guessing a target notification's Universally Unique Identifier (UUID), can read the notification configuration, including sensitive details like webhook URLs, Slack tokens, and email addresses. This vulnerability also allows them to trigger test notifications for another repository. This could lead to unauthorized information disclosure and potential misuse of notification services.

    Title
Quay: ldap referral filter injection in quay external ldap authentication
    Summary
A flaw was found in Red Hat Quay's external Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) authentication handling. When an LDAP referral is returned during authentication, the system does not properly escape the username input. This allows an attacker to inject LDAP filter metacharacters, enabling user-existence oracle attacks at the referral Directory Name (DN). This could also potentially influence which DN is used for password binding in multi-domain Active Directory environments.

Quay: jwt claim validation bypasses in quay federated robot and sso authentication
    Summary
A flaw was found in Red Hat Quay's JWT (JSON Web Token) validation for federated robot accounts and single sign-on (SSO) authentication. Multiple issues related to audience verification and the enforcement of `azp` and `sub` claims were identified. These flaws could allow an attacker with a validly-signed token from the same identity provider to bypass configured security restrictions. This bypass could lead to unauthorized access by circumventing intended audience, subject, or authorized-client limitations.

    Title
Sblim-cmpi-base: insecure temporary file creation in sblim-cmpi-base provider registration scripts allows local symlink attack
    Summary
A flaw was found in sblim-cmpi-base. Insecure temporary file creation in the provider registration scripts allows a local unprivileged user to perform a symlink attack. By creating a symlink in a world-writable directory, an attacker can redirect privileged writes to an arbitrary file during script execution in a privileged context. This can lead to the overwrite of root-owned files, potentially disrupting system services or operation. Exploitation is conditional on the script running with elevated privileges and may be mitigated by sticky-directory symlink protections.

    CVE-2026-73584 (GCVE-0-2026-73584)

    Vulnerability from nvd – Published: 2026-08-13 12:44 – Updated: 2026-08-13 14:34
    VLAI
    Title
Sblim-sfcb: sblim-sfcb: privileged file corruption and denial of service via insecure temporary file handling
    Summary
A flaw was found in sblim-sfcb. A local, low-privileged attacker can exploit a race condition during privileged instance migration by manipulating a temporary file in the `/tmp` directory. By repeatedly recreating a symbolic link, the attacker can redirect privileged output to an arbitrary file. This can lead to privileged file corruption or a denial of service (DoS) on the system.

    CVE-2026-11861 (GCVE-0-2026-11861)

    Vulnerability from cvelistv5 – Published: 2026-08-20 10:39 – Updated: 2026-08-20 13:48
    VLAI

    CVE-2026-73198 (GCVE-0-2026-73198)

    Vulnerability from cvelistv5 – Published: 2026-08-20 10:39 – Updated: 2026-08-20 15:38
    VLAI

    CVE-2026-13097 (GCVE-0-2026-13097)

    Vulnerability from cvelistv5 – Published: 2026-08-20 10:37 – Updated: 2026-08-21 18:12
    VLAI

    Vulnerability from cvelistv5 – Published: 2026-08-20 10:31 – Updated: 2026-08-20 15:19
    VLAI

    CVE-2026-73197 (GCVE-0-2026-73197)

    Vulnerability from cvelistv5 – Published: 2026-08-20 10:31 – Updated: 2026-08-25 14:25
    VLAI

    CVE-2026-74245 (GCVE-0-2026-74245)

    Vulnerability from cvelistv5 – Published: 2026-08-14 22:43 – Updated: 2026-08-20 14:10
    VLAI

    Title
Quay: jwt claim validation bypasses in quay federated robot and sso authentication
    Summary
A flaw was found in Red Hat Quay's JWT (JSON Web Token) validation for federated robot accounts and single sign-on (SSO) authentication. Multiple issues related to audience verification and the enforcement of `azp` and `sub` claims were identified. These flaws could allow an attacker with a validly-signed token from the same identity provider to bypass configured security restrictions. This bypass could lead to unauthorized access by circumventing intended audience, subject, or authorized-client limitations.

    CVE-2026-19617 (GCVE-0-2026-19617)

    Vulnerability from cvelistv5 – Published: 2026-08-14 05:59 – Updated: 2026-08-14 13:55
    VLAI
    Title
Libdm: lvm2: libdm: denial of service via uncontrolled recursion in config parser
    Summary
A flaw was found in libdm. A local attacker could craft a malicious Logical Volume Manager (LVM) metadata configuration with deeply nested structures. This could lead to uncontrolled recursion in the libdm configuration file parser, exhausting the stack and causing any LVM command reading the metadata to crash. This vulnerability results in a Denial of Service (DoS) for affected systems.
