Title
Directus has a SSRF Protection Bypass via IPv4-Mapped IPv6 Addresses in File Import
Summary
Directus is a real-time API and App dashboard for managing SQL database content. Prior to 11.16.0, a Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) protection bypass has been identified and fixed in Directus. The IP address validation mechanism used to block requests to local and private networks could be circumvented using IPv4-Mapped IPv6 address notation. This vulnerability is fixed in 11.16.0.

Title
Budibase: SSRF in Automation Steps - Webhook, Zapier, N8N, Slack, Discord Bypass IP Blacklist
Summary
Budibase is an open-source low-code platform. Prior to 3.41.3, automation steps in packages/server/src/automations/steps/outgoingWebhook.ts, packages/server/src/automations/steps/zapier.ts, packages/server/src/automations/steps/n8n.ts, packages/server/src/automations/steps/slack.ts, and packages/server/src/automations/steps/discord.ts use node-fetch on user-provided URLs without the BLACKLIST_IPS enforcement used by the REST integration, allowing an authenticated user to make server-side requests to cloud metadata and internal services. This issue is fixed in version 3.41.3.

Title
pyLoad has SSRF in parse_urls API endpoint via unvalidated URL parameter
Summary
pyLoad is a free and open-source download manager written in Python. In 0.5.0b3.dev96 and earlier, the parse_urls API function in src/pyload/core/api/__init__.py fetches arbitrary URLs server-side via get_url(url) (pycurl) without any URL validation, protocol restriction, or IP blacklist. An authenticated user with ADD permission can make HTTP/HTTPS requests to internal network resources and cloud metadata endpoints, read local files via file:// protocol (pycurl reads the file server-side), interact with internal services via gopher:// and dict:// protocols, and enumerate file existence via error-based oracle (error 37 vs empty response).

Title
Ech0 affected by unauthenticated SSRF in GetWebsiteTitle allows access to internal services and cloud metadata
Summary
Ech0 is an open-source, self-hosted publishing platform for personal idea sharing. Prior to 4.2.8, the GET /api/website/title endpoint accepts an arbitrary URL via the website_url query parameter and makes a server-side HTTP request to it without any validation of the target host or IP address. The endpoint requires no authentication. An attacker can use this to reach internal network services, cloud metadata endpoints (169.254.169.254), and localhost-bound services, with partial response data exfiltrated via the HTML <title> tag extraction This vulnerability is fixed in 4.2.8.

Title
Ech0 Affected by Unauthenticated Server-Side Request Forgery in Website Preview Feature
Summary
Ech0 is an open-source, self-hosted publishing platform for personal idea sharing. Prior to 4.2.8, Ech0 implements link preview (editor fetches a page title) through GET /api/website/title. That is legitimate product behavior, but the implementation is unsafe: the route is unauthenticated, accepts a fully attacker-controlled URL, performs a server-side GET, reads the entire response body into memory (io.ReadAll). There is no host allowlist, no SSRF filter, and InsecureSkipVerify: true on the outbound client. Anyone who can reach the instance can force the Ech0 server to open HTTP/HTTPS URLs of their choice as seen from the server’s network position (Docker bridge, VPC, localhost from the process view). This vulnerability is fixed in 4.2.8.

Anyone who can reach the instance can force the Ech0 server to open HTTP/HTTPS URLs of their choice as seen from the server\u2019s network position (Docker bridge, VPC, localhost from the process view). This vulnerability is fixed in 4.2.8."

Title
Jellyfin: Potential SSRF + Arbitrary file read via LiveTV M3U tuner
Summary
Jellyfin is an open source self hosted media server. Versions prior to 10.11.7 contain a vulnerability chain in the LiveTV M3U tuner endpoint (POST /LiveTv/TunerHosts), where the tuner URL is not validated, allowing local file read via non-HTTP paths and Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) via HTTP URLs. This is exploitable by any authenticated user because the EnableLiveTvManagement permission defaults to true for all new users. An attacker can chain these vulnerabilities by adding an M3U tuner pointing to an attacker-controlled server, serving a crafted M3U with a channel pointing to the Jellyfin database, exfiltrating the database to extract admin session tokens, and escalating to admin privileges. This issue has been fixed in version 10.11.7. If users are unable to upgrade immediately, they can disable Live TV Management privileges for all users.

Title
whisperX REST API: SSRF in download_from_url() — URL validation happens after HTTP request, extension bypass via .mp3
Summary
The whisperX API is a tool for enhancing and analyzing audio content. From 0.3.1 to 0.5.0, FileService.download_from_url() in app/services/file_service.py calls requests.get(url) with zero URL validation. The file extension check occurs AFTER the HTTP request is already made, and can be bypassed by appending .mp3 to any internal URL. The /speech-to-text-url endpoint is unauthenticated. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.6.0.

Title
Gitea prior to 1.27.0 SSRF via Migration URI Fetch Bypass
Summary
Gitea prior to 1.27.0 contains a server-side request forgery vulnerability that allows authenticated attackers to bypass SSRF protections by exploiting HTTP fetch operations in migration and OAuth avatar code paths that use Go's default http.Get without a custom DialContext. Attackers can supply arbitrary URLs through release asset download URLs, pull-request patch URLs, or OAuth avatar endpoints to reach internal services, cloud instance-metadata endpoints, or read local files such as the application configuration containing database credentials and signing secrets, with exfiltrated content persisted as migration release assets for later retrieval.

Title
Adminer before 5.5.0 SSRF via PDO DSN Injection
Summary
Adminer before 5.5.0 contains a server-side request forgery vulnerability in the login form's server field validator, which only inspects leading integers for privileged ports and fails to reject non-numeric port values. Attackers can inject PDO DSN keys like host= and port= into the server parameter to bypass the privileged-port restriction and establish TCP connections to arbitrary internal hosts and ports before authentication.

CAPEC-664: Server Side Request Forgery

An adversary exploits improper input validation by submitting maliciously crafted input to a target application running on a server, with the goal of forcing the server to make a request either to itself, to web services running in the server’s internal network, or to external third parties. If successful, the adversary’s request will be made with the server’s privilege level, bypassing its authentication controls. This ultimately allows the adversary to access sensitive data, execute commands on the server’s network, and make external requests with the stolen identity of the server. Server Side Request Forgery attacks differ from Cross Site Request Forgery attacks in that they target the server itself, whereas CSRF attacks exploit an insecure user authentication mechanism to perform unauthorized actions on the user's behalf.
