Title
Open WebUI: Cross-user model-list exposure via static cache key in get_all_models (aiocache key= vs key_builder= misuse)
Summary
Open WebUI is an extensible, feature-rich, and user-friendly self-hosted AI platform. From 0.6.27 before 0.10.0, get_all_models handlers in routers/openai.py and routers/ollama.py passed a lambda to aiocache key instead of key_builder, causing permission-filtered per-user model lists to share a static cache entry and exposing one user’s model list to another caller during the TTL window. This issue is fixed in version 0.10.0.

Title
Ghost: Cache-poisoning XSS in Ghost frontend via x-ghost-preview header
Summary
Ghost is a Node.js content management system. From until 6.37.0, when Ghost is behind a shared caching layer that results in cached content being shared between different visitors, an unauthenticated user could send an x-ghost-preview header that altered the rendered frontend response. In affected cache configurations, that response could be stored and served to subsequent visitors requesting the same page, allowing cache poisoning of request-specific preview output. When running Ghost's frontend and admin panel on the same domain this could be used to take over staff user accounts. When running these on different domains staff accounts have no exposure. This vulnerability is fixed in 6.37.0.

Title
Angular: Request Credential & Cache Policy Stripping in Angular Service Worker
Summary
Angular is a development platform for building mobile and desktop web applications using TypeScript/JavaScript and other languages. Prior to 22.0.0-rc.2, 21.2.15, 20.3.22, and 19.2.23, an issue in the @angular/service-worker package compromises the integrity of request-policy enforcement during request reconstruction. When the Angular Service Worker intercepts network requests for matched assets, it reconstructs a new Request object using an internal helper function. During this reconstruction process, the helper function strips explicit client-defined safety parameters: the credentials configuration (such as credentials: 'omit') and the HTTP cache mode configuration (such as cache: 'no-store'). These are reverted back to standard browser-default parameters (credentials: 'same-origin' and default HTTP cache properties). This causes the browser to include active credentials (such as cookies or Authorization headers) on outbound requests where the client-side developer explicitly instructed they should be omitted, leading to potential session leaks. Additionally, it causes private or non-cacheable resources to be cached by the service worker's engine, making private page states accessible or persistent inside the client's local cache post-logout. This vulnerability is fixed in 22.0.0-rc.2, 21.2.15, 20.3.22, and 19.2.23.

When the Angular Service Worker intercepts network requests for matched assets, it reconstructs a new Request object using an internal helper function. During this reconstruction process, the helper function strips explicit client-defined safety parameters: the credentials configuration (such as credentials: \u0027omit\u0027) and the HTTP cache mode configuration (such as cache: \u0027no-store\u0027). These are reverted back to standard browser-default parameters (credentials: \u0027same-origin\u0027 and default HTTP cache properties). This causes the browser to include active credentials (such as cookies or Authorization headers) on outbound requests where the client-side developer explicitly instructed they should be omitted, leading to potential session leaks. Additionally, it causes private or non-cacheable resources to be cached by the service worker\u0027s engine, making private page states accessible or persistent inside the client\u0027s local cache post-logout. Title
Angular: Information Leak via Default Caching of Credentialed Requests in HttpTransferCache
Summary
Angular is a development platform for building mobile and desktop web applications using TypeScript/JavaScript and other languages. Prior to 22.0.0-rc.2, 21.2.15, 20.3.22, and 19.2.23, a vulnerability was discovered in @angular/common when Server-Side Rendering (SSR) and hydration are enabled. The HttpTransferCache utility optimizes hydration by caching outgoing HTTP requests performed during SSR and transferring the cached state to the client-side application via TransferState. However, the caching mechanism fails to inspect the withCredentials flag or the Cookie header of outgoing requests. As a result, credentialed, user-specific responses may be cached by default in the shared TransferState payload. When these responses are serialized into the HTML, any caching layer (such as a CDN, reverse proxy, or shared server cache) that caches the SSR-rendered HTML page could inadvertently cache and leak one user's private data to other users, leading to a high-severity information disclosure vulnerability. This vulnerability is fixed in 22.0.0-rc.2, 21.2.15, 20.3.22, and 19.2.23.

Title
Angular Service Worker Policy-Bypass & Credential-Stripping Vulnerabilities
Summary
Angular is a development platform for building mobile and desktop web applications using TypeScript/JavaScript and other languages. Prior to 22.0.0-rc.2, 21.2.15 20.3.22, and 19.2.23, an issue in the @angular/service-worker package compromises the integrity of request-policy enforcement during request reconstruction. When the Angular Service Worker intercepts network requests for matched assets, it reconstructs a new Request object using an internal helper function. During this reconstruction process, the helper function strips the strict, client-defined request redirect policy configuration (such as redirect: 'error'), falling back to the browser's default 'follow' strategy. If the target web application makes client-side requests with a strict policy (e.g., expecting a network error instead of automatically following redirects), the service worker will bypass this instruction and automatically follow HTTP 3xx redirects to other destinations. This acts as an unintended proxy/intermediary ("Confused Deputy") and can result in cookie/credential exposure or same-origin session-restricted data leakage if public dynamic routes redirect to sensitive routes. This vulnerability is fixed in 22.0.0-rc.2, 21.2.15, 20.3.22, and 19.2.23.

Title
API Platform Core: Cross-user attribute leak in JSON:API and HAL item normalizers due to missing isCacheKeySafe gate
Summary
API Platform Core is a system to create hypermedia-driven REST and GraphQL APIs. In versions from 2.6.0 prior to 4.1.29, 4.2.26, and 4.3.12, a missing isCacheKeySafe gate in the JSON:API and HAL item normalizers causes a cross-user attribute leak. #[ApiProperty(security: ...)] is evaluated per request to decide whether a property is exposed. The componentsCache arrays in ApiPlatform\JsonApi\Serializer\ItemNormalizer and ApiPlatform\Hal\Serializer\ItemNormalizer are keyed on $context['cache_key'], which is set unconditionally before delegating to the parent normalizer. The component structure (attributes, relationships, links) computed for one request can therefore be reused for a subsequent request whose user has a different set of accessible properties. A user with lower privileges may end up seeing the structure of properties that the security predicate would otherwise have hidden for them. This issue has been fixed in versions 4.1.29, 4.2.26, and 4.3.12.

Title
Potential exposure of private data via cached Set-Cookie response
Summary
An issue was discovered in Django 6.0 before 6.0.7 and 5.2 before 5.2.16. `UpdateCacheMiddleware` and the `cache_page()` decorator cache responses that vary on cookies when the incoming request carries unrelated cookies, which allows remote attackers to read private data from the shared cache. Earlier, unsupported Django series (such as 5.0.x, 4.1.x, and 3.2.x) were not evaluated and may also be affected. Django would like to thank Chris Whyland for reporting this issue.

Title
Improper Search Cache Isolation for Scoped Search API Keys in Typesense
Summary
Typesense is a fast, typo-tolerant search engine. Prior to versions 29.1 and 30.2, there is a cache isolation issue affecting search requests that use both server-side search result caching and Scoped Search API Keys. Under specific request ordering, cached search results could be reused across requests with different Scoped Search API Key constraints. This could result in a request receiving search results that should have been restricted by its Scoped Search API Key. This issue only affects search requests that use both server-side search result caching and Scoped Search API Keys with embedded filters to restrict access to search results within a collection. This vulnerability may result in unintended disclosure of search results across scoped authorization contexts. This issue has been patched in versions 29.1 and 30.2.

Title
Hono: Cache Middleware ignores Vary: Authorization / Vary: Cookie leading to cross-user cache leakage
Summary
Hono is a Web application framework that provides support for any JavaScript runtime. Prior to 4.12.18, Cache Middleware does not skip caching for responses that declare per-user variance via Vary: Authorization or Vary: Cookie. As a result, a response cached for one authenticated user may be served to subsequent requests from different users. This vulnerability is fixed in 4.12.18.

CAPEC-204: Lifting Sensitive Data Embedded in Cache

An adversary examines a target application's cache, or a browser cache, for sensitive information. Many applications that communicate with remote entities or which perform intensive calculations utilize caches to improve efficiency. However, if the application computes or receives sensitive information and the cache is not appropriately protected, an attacker can browse the cache and retrieve this information. This can result in the disclosure of sensitive information.
