Title
Lemmy: Lower-ranked federated moderator can remove higher-ranked moderators
Summary
Lemmy is a link aggregator and forum for the fediverse. Prior to 0.19.19 and 1.0.0-alpha.18, a lower-ranked remote moderator can remove a higher-ranked moderator by sending a signed ActivityPub Remove activity to the target instance. The local API uses LocalUser::is_higher_mod_or_admin_check to enforce moderator rank, but CollectionRemove::verify in crates/apub/activities/src/community/collection_remove.rs only calls verify_mod_action. CollectionRemove::receive dereferences self.object as an ApubPerson, creates a CommunityModeratorForm, and calls CommunityActions::leave without checking that the actor outranks the moderator identified by the object field. In communities with federated moderators, a junior moderator can therefore strip senior moderators from the community moderator list even though the local API rejects the same action. This issue is fixed in versions 0.19.19 and 1.0.0-alpha.18.

Title
goshs: File-based .goshs ACL authorization bypass via the ?bulk zip-download route (unauthenticated read; residual of CVE-2026-40189)
Summary
goshs is a feature-rich single-binary file server for red teamers and developers. Prior to 2.1.1, the httpserver/updown.go bulkDownload handler for ?bulk&file= ZIP downloads did not call findEffectiveACL or applyCustomAuth, allowing unauthenticated reads of files protected only by .goshs folder ACLs and block lists. This issue is fixed in version 2.1.1. This vulnerability exists due to an incomplete fix for CVE-2026-40189.

Title
Pipecat: Telephony WebSocket `/ws` Unauthenticated Call-Control Abuse via Attacker-Supplied Call SID
Summary
Pipecat is an open-source Python framework for building real-time voice and multimodal conversational agents. Prior to 1.4.0, the pipecat development runner registers a /ws WebSocket endpoint for telephony testing that accepts connections without authentication, reads an attacker-supplied callSid from a Twilio stream-start handshake in src/pipecat/runner/utils.py, and passes it to TwilioFrameSerializer so the server can issue an authenticated Twilio REST API hang-up request with the server operator's credentials; equivalent unauthenticated call-control sinks exist for Telnyx and Plivo. This issue is fixed in version 1.4.0.

Title
django CMS: Structure endpoint bypasses page-view permission
Summary
django CMS is an easy-to-use and developer-friendly enterprise content management system powered by Django. Prior to 5.0.8, render_object_structure in cms/views.py renders cms/toolbar/structure.html for a PageContent object without calling user_can_view_page(). Any staff account can request a restricted page’s structure when CMS_PERMISSION is enabled and the page has view restrictions or CMS_PUBLIC_FOR is set to staff. The response exposes plugin get_short_description() values, including link names, URLs, and text snippets, rather than only the page shape. This issue is fixed in versions 5.0.8.

Title
SENAITE.CORE: Improper Neutralization of Directives in Dynamically Evaluated Code ('Eval Injection') and Missing Authorization in senaite.core
Summary
SENAITE.CORE is the core framework for the SENAITE laboratory information management system. From 2.0.0 to 2.6.0, the SENAITE.CORE JSON API permits unauthenticated remote code execution through a two-request chain involving missing authorization and unsafe evaluation. The state-changing routes in src/bika/lims/jsonapi/update.py, including update, update_many, remove, doActionFor, doActionFor_many, and getusers, do not enforce the senaite.core: Access JSON API permission before resolving attacker-selected objects. In src/bika/lims/jsonapi/init.py, set_fields_from_request passes raw request values for RecordsField and RecordField instances to eval() before field mutator write-permission checks execute. An anonymous attacker can discover the bika_setup object identifier through @@uuid, send a value such as RejectionReasons to /@@API/update, and execute arbitrary Python in the Zope worker before a later mutation failure rolls back ZODB changes. The same unsafe evaluation pattern is present in src/senaite/core/browser/fields/record.py and src/senaite/core/browser/fields/records.py. Successful exploitation can expose or modify laboratory data, files, and accounts and can disrupt the service.

"value": "SENAITE.CORE is the core framework for the SENAITE laboratory information management system. Successful exploitation can expose or modify laboratory data, files, and accounts and can disrupt the service."

Title
Microsoft UFO: Missing Authorization in DEVICE_INFO_REQUEST Allows a DEVICE Client to Read Another Device's system_info
Summary
Microsoft UFO open-source framework for intelligent automation across devices and platforms. From 3.0.0 until 3.0.6, a client connected to the UFO WebSocket server as a DEVICE could call DEVICE_INFO_REQUEST with another device's target_id and receive that device's server-side system_info through ufo/server/ws/handler.py, because handle_device_info_request and get_device_info did not enforce the constellation-only role or object-level authorization boundary. This issue is fixed in version 3.0.6.

Title
Kyverno: NamespacedGeneratingPolicy generator.apply() namespace argument unvalidated -- background controller creates RoleBindings in any namespace including kube-system
Summary
Kyverno is a policy engine designed for cloud native platform engineering teams. From 1.18.0 until 1.18.2, the NamespacedMutatingPolicy CEL compiler exposes the generator library to matchConditions, allowing a namespace-scoped policy to invoke generator.apply(namespace, resources) with an arbitrary target namespace. The validation in pkg/cel/policies/mpol/validate.go checks that the policy compiles but does not enforce namespace scope, and GenerateResources in pkg/cel/libs/context.go does not reject the cross-namespace target. A user who can create NamespacedMutatingPolicy objects in one namespace can cause the admission controller, operating with cluster-wide privileges, to create ConfigMaps, NetworkPolicies, Secrets, RoleBindings, and other resources in another namespace, enabling unauthorized modification and potential privilege escalation. This issue is fixed in version 1.18.2.

Title
TREK IDOR: any authenticated user can read another user's journey share token (full journey leak)
Summary
TREK is a collaborative travel planner. From 3.0.0 until 3.1.0, the GET /api/journeys/:id/share-link route in server/src/routes/journey.ts returns the result of getJourneyShareLink() from server/src/services/journeyShareService.ts without checking whether the authenticated requester can access the journey. Any ordinary authenticated user can enumerate sequential journey IDs and retrieve tokens from journey_share_tokens for another user's journey. The token grants unauthenticated access through GET /api/public/journey/:token to the shared journey's entries, captions, locations, moods, gallery photos, photo paths, and asset identifiers. This issue is fixed in version 3.1.0.

Title
Apache ActiveMQ Broker, Apache ActiveMQ All, Apache ActiveMQ: Temporary destination ownership takeover
Summary
Missing Authorization vulnerability in Apache ActiveMQ Broker, Apache ActiveMQ All, Apache ActiveMQ. Apache ActiveMQ Classic temporary destinations are expected to be isolated to the connection that created them. The isolation can be broken as this is only checked in the client, allowing a different connection to consume from another connection's temporary destination. This issue affects Apache ActiveMQ Broker: before 5.19.8, from 6.0.0 before 6.2.7; Apache ActiveMQ All: before 5.19.8, from 6.0.0 before 6.2.7; Apache ActiveMQ: before 5.19.8, from 6.0.0 before 6.2.7. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 6.2.7, which fixes the issue.

Title
Leantime - Missing Authorization on TwoFA JSON-RPC Methods Allows Cross-Account 2FA Secret Disclosure and Bypass
Summary
Leantime through 3.6.2 exposes the JSON-RPC methods leantime.rpc.TwoFA.TwoFA.getSetupData, saveSecret, verifyAndEnable, and disable2FA, which act on a caller-supplied userId parameter with no ownership check, session pinning, or permission-attribute gate (unlike other RPC-exposed methods in the same dispatcher).

Mitigation
Architecture and Design
  • Divide the product into anonymous, normal, privileged, and administrative areas. Reduce the attack surface by carefully mapping roles with data and functionality. Use role-based access control (RBAC) [REF-229] to enforce the roles at the appropriate boundaries.
  • Note that this approach may not protect against horizontal authorization, i.e., it will not protect a user from attacking others with the same role.
Mitigation
Architecture and Design

Ensure that access control checks are performed related to the business logic. These checks may be different than the access control checks that are applied to more generic resources such as files, connections, processes, memory, and database records. For example, a database may restrict access for medical records to a specific database user, but each record might only be intended to be accessible to the patient and the patient's doctor [REF-7].

Mitigation MIT-4.4
Architecture and Design

Strategy: Libraries or Frameworks

  • Use a vetted library or framework that does not allow this weakness to occur or provides constructs that make this weakness easier to avoid.
  • For example, consider using authorization frameworks such as the JAAS Authorization Framework [REF-233] and the OWASP ESAPI Access Control feature [REF-45].
Mitigation
Architecture and Design
  • For web applications, make sure that the access control mechanism is enforced correctly at the server side on every page. Users should not be able to access any unauthorized functionality or information by simply requesting direct access to that page.
  • One way to do this is to ensure that all pages containing sensitive information are not cached, and that all such pages restrict access to requests that are accompanied by an active and authenticated session token associated with a user who has the required permissions to access that page.
Mitigation
System Configuration Installation

Use the access control capabilities of your operating system and server environment and define your access control lists accordingly. Use a "default deny" policy when defining these ACLs.

CAPEC-665: Exploitation of Thunderbolt Protection Flaws

An adversary leverages a firmware weakness within the Thunderbolt protocol, on a computing device to manipulate Thunderbolt controller firmware in order to exploit vulnerabilities in the implementation of authorization and verification schemes within Thunderbolt protection mechanisms. Upon gaining physical access to a target device, the adversary conducts high-level firmware manipulation of the victim Thunderbolt controller SPI (Serial Peripheral Interface) flash, through the use of a SPI Programing device and an external Thunderbolt device, typically as the target device is booting up. If successful, this allows the adversary to modify memory, subvert authentication mechanisms, spoof identities and content, and extract data and memory from the target device. Currently 7 major vulnerabilities exist within Thunderbolt protocol with 9 attack vectors as noted in the Execution Flow.
