Vulnerability from csaf_certbund - Published: 2024-09-01 22:00 - Updated: 2024-09-24 22:00Es besteht eine Schwachstelle in Hashicorp Vault. Dieser Fehler ist auf eine Regression zurückzuführen, bei der die Funktion entfernt wurde, die für das Hashing sensibler Informationen wie Client-Tokens und Token-Accessors verantwortlich ist, bevor sie auf dem Audit-Gerät protokolliert werden. Infolgedessen werden anstelle des HMAC-Hashes die Klartextversionen dieser sensiblen Werte in den Prüfprotokollen gespeichert. Ein entfernter, authentifizierter Angreifer kann diese Schwachstelle ausnutzen, um vertrauliche Informationen offenzulegen.
