Title
RDMA/irdma: Fix drain SQ hang with no completion
Summary
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/irdma: Fix drain SQ hang with no completion SW generated completions for outstanding WRs posted on SQ after QP is in error target the wrong CQ. This causes the ib_drain_sq to hang with no completion. Fix this to generate completions on the right CQ. [ 863.969340] INFO: task kworker/u52:2:671 blocked for more than 122 seconds. connection teardown or RDMA CM disconnect (including ksmbd SMB Direct paths before SMB session auth, or an NFS/RDMA server dropping the client) is sufficient to trigger the drain hang.\\nUI:N - Once a vulnerable RDMA ULP is running on irdma hardware, the attacker triggers the hang solely by causing a connection error or disconnect; no additional victim user action is required during exploitation.\\nS:U - Impact is confined to the local kernel (hung worker / DoS of the RDMA ULP work path) and does not cross a VM, IOMMU, or other security authority boundary.\\nC:N - The bug only notifies the wrong completion handler; SQ flush completions are still queued on the correct CQ list, with no out-of-bounds read, UAF, or other information disclosure.\\nI:N - There is no memory corruption, arbitrary write, or control-flow hijack\\u2014only a missed send-CQ wakeup\\u2014so integrity is unaffected.\\nA:H - ib_drain_sq waits indefinitely for a completion that is never signaled on the send CQ, leaving a kernel worker permanently blocked in D state (hung task), which is a high-severity denial of service.\"}]}], \"affected\": [{\"repo\": \"https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux.git\", \"vendor\": \"Linux\", \"product\": \"Linux\", \"versions\": [{\"status\": \"affected\", \"version\": \"bd2af69575f518a34a941b6b46882c7e2f43e8a2\", \"lessThan\": \"14d148401c5202fec3a071e24785481d540b22c3\", \"versionType\": \"git\"}, {\"status\": \"affected\", \"version\": \"81091d7696ae71627ff80bbf2c6b0986d2c1cce3\", \"lessThan\": \"5becc531a3fa8da75158a8993f56cc3e0717716e\", \"versionType\": \"git\"}, {\"status\": \"affected\", \"version\": \"81091d7696ae71627ff80bbf2c6b0986d2c1cce3\", \"lessThan\": \"ead54ced6321099978d30d62dc49c282a6e70574\", \"versionType\": \"git\"}], \"programFiles\": [\"drivers/infiniband/hw/irdma/utils.c\"], \"defaultStatus\": \"unaffected\"}, {\"repo\": \"https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux.git\", \"vendor\": \"Linux\", \"product\": \"Linux\", \"versions\": [{\"status\": \"affected\", \"version\": \"5.19\"}, {\"status\": \"unaffected\", \"version\": \"0\", \"lessThan\": \"5.19\", \"versionType\": \"semver\"}, {\"status\": \"unaffected\", \"version\": \"5.19.9\", \"versionType\": \"semver\", \"lessThanOrEqual\": \"5.19.*\"}, {\"status\": \"unaffected\", \"version\": \"6.0\", \"versionType\": \"original_commit_for_fix\", \"lessThanOrEqual\": \"*\"}], \"programFiles\": [\"drivers/infiniband/hw/irdma/utils.c\"], \"defaultStatus\": \"affected\"}], \"references\": [{\"url\": \"https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/14d148401c5202fec3a071e24785481d540b22c3\"}, {\"url\": \"https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/5becc531a3fa8da75158a8993f56cc3e0717716e\"}, {\"url\": \"https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/ead54ced6321099978d30d62dc49c282a6e70574\"}], \"x_generator\": {\"engine\": \"bippy-1.2.0\"}, \"descriptions\": [{\"lang\": \"en\", \"value\": \"In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:\\n\\nRDMA/irdma: Fix drain SQ hang with no completion\\n\\nSW generated completions for outstanding WRs posted on SQ\\nafter QP is in error target the wrong CQ.
