Title
Dräger Atlan A350 1.00 <= 1.01 DoS via Medibus Interface
Summary
Dräger Atlan A350 versions 1.00 up to and including 1.01 contains an improper input handling vulnerability that allows attackers to cause a denial of service by sending specifically crafted non-Medibus-compliant data through the Medibus interface. Attackers can transmit malformed data to overload the internal processor, gradually disrupting device operation over several hours and causing loss of data transmission, delayed display of real-time curves, and deviation between displayed airway pressure values and screen curves.

Title
Philips Patient Monitoring Devices Improper Validation of Syntactic Correctness of Input
Summary
In Patient Information Center iX (PICiX) Versions C.02, C.03, PerformanceBridge Focal Point Version A.01, the product receives input that is expected to be well-formed (i.e., to comply with a certain syntax) but it does not validate or incorrectly validates that the input complies with the syntax, causing the certificate enrollment service to crash. It does not impact monitoring but prevents new devices from enrolling.

Title
Dräger Perseus A500 2.00-2.02 DoS via Medibus Interface
Summary
Dräger Perseus A500 software versions 2.00 through 2.02 contains an improper input handling vulnerability that allows external attackers to cause a denial of service by sending specifically crafted non-Medibus-compliant data through the Medibus interface. Attackers can overload the internal processor with malformed data to trigger a warm restart, causing ventilation pressure to drop to ambient level and interrupting ventilation for several seconds before therapy resumes.

Title
Dräger SC Monitoring Devices DoS via Malformed Network Packet
Summary
Dräger SC Monitoring devices (SC 6002XL, SC 6802XL, SC 7000, SC 8000, SC 9000 XL) contain a denial-of-service vulnerability in all software versions that allows unauthenticated attackers to reboot the monitor by sending a malformed network packet. Attackers can repeatedly send such malformed packets to disrupt patient monitoring until the device falls back to default configuration and loses network connectivity.

GHSA-26FH-VCWC-MCGV

Vulnerability from github – Published: 2026-04-16 21:31 – Updated: 2026-04-16 21:31
VLAI
Details

Improper validation of bash commands in Snowflake Cortex Code CLI versions prior to 1.0.25 allowed subsequent commands to execute outside the sandbox. An attacker could exploit this by embedding specially crafted commands in untrusted content, such as a malicious repository, causing the CLI agent to execute arbitrary code on the local device without user consent. Exploitation is non-deterministic and model-dependent. The fix is automatically applied upon relaunch with no user action required.

Vulnerability from github – Published: 2024-07-11 18:31 – Updated: 2024-07-12 18:31
VLAI
Details

An Improper Validation of Syntactic Correctness of Input vulnerability in the Packet Forwarding Engine (PFE) of Juniper Networks Junos OS on MX Series with MPC10/11 or LC9600, MX304, and Junos OS Evolved on ACX Series and PTX Series allows an unauthenticated, network based attacker to cause a Denial-of-Service (DoS).

This issue can occur in two scenarios:

  1. If a device, which is configured with SFLOW and ECMP, receives specific valid transit traffic, which is subject to sampling, the packetio process crashes, which in turn leads to an evo-aftman crash and causes the FPC to stop working until it is restarted. (This scenario is only applicable to PTX but not to ACX or MX.)

  2. If a device receives a malformed CFM packet on an interface configured with CFM, the packetio process crashes, which in turn leads to an evo-aftman crash and causes the FPC to stop working until it is restarted. Please note that the CVSS score is for the formally more severe issue 1.

The CVSS score for scenario 2. is: 6.5 (CVSS:3.1/AV:A/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H)

This issue affects Junos OS:

  • All versions before 21.2R3-S4,
  • 21.4 versions before 21.4R2,
  • 22.2 versions before 22.2R3-S2;

Junos OS Evolved:

  • All versions before 21.2R3-S8-EVO,
  • 21.4 versions before 21.4R2-EVO.

Vulnerability from github – Published: 2024-01-12 03:30 – Updated: 2024-01-12 03:30

Details

An Improper Validation of Syntactic Correctness of Input vulnerability in Packet Forwarding Engine (PFE) of Juniper Networks Junos OS allows an unauthenticated, network-based attacker to cause Denial of Service (DoS).

On all Junos OS MX Series and SRX Series platforms, when SIP ALG is enabled, and a specific SIP packet is received and processed, NAT IP allocation fails for genuine traffic, which causes Denial of Service (DoS). Continuous receipt of this specific SIP ALG packet will cause a sustained DoS condition.

NAT IP usage can be monitored by running the following command.

user@srx> show security nat resource-usage source-pool

Mitigation MIT-5
Implementation

Strategy: Input Validation

  • Assume all input is malicious. Use an "accept known good" input validation strategy, i.e., use a list of acceptable inputs that strictly conform to specifications. Reject any input that does not strictly conform to specifications, or transform it into something that does.
  • When performing input validation, consider all potentially relevant properties, including length, type of input, the full range of acceptable values, missing or extra inputs, syntax, consistency across related fields, and conformance to business rules. As an example of business rule logic, "boat" may be syntactically valid because it only contains alphanumeric characters, but it is not valid if the input is only expected to contain colors such as "red" or "blue."
  • Do not rely exclusively on looking for malicious or malformed inputs. This is likely to miss at least one undesirable input, especially if the code's environment changes. This can give attackers enough room to bypass the intended validation. However, denylists can be useful for detecting potential attacks or determining which inputs are so malformed that they should be rejected outright.
CAPEC-66: SQL Injection

This attack exploits target software that constructs SQL statements based on user input. An attacker crafts input strings so that when the target software constructs SQL statements based on the input, the resulting SQL statement performs actions other than those the application intended. SQL Injection results from failure of the application to appropriately validate input.

CAPEC-676: NoSQL Injection

An adversary targets software that constructs NoSQL statements based on user input or with parameters vulnerable to operator replacement in order to achieve a variety of technical impacts such as escalating privileges, bypassing authentication, and/or executing code.
