CVE-2025-8699 (GCVE-0-2025-8699)

Vulnerability from cvelistv5 – Published: 2025-09-12 11:19 – Updated: 2025-11-03 18:14
VLAI
Summary
Some "Stored Value" Unattended Payment Solutions of KioSoft use vulnerable NFC cards. Attackers could potentially use this vulnerability to change the balance on the cards and generate money. The account balance is stored on an insecure MiFare Classic NFC card and can be read and written back. By carefully observing changes in card dumps, one can identify fields that store the cash value of the card. Additionally, a checksum can be identified, which is created by XOR-ing the cash and an unknown field with a certain value. By updating the fields accordingly, arbitrary amounts of money can be loaded onto the card (up to $655,35) to pay for goods.

Title
Hive: exposure of vcenter credentials via clusterprovision in hive / mce / acm
Summary
A flaw was found in Hive, a component of Multicluster Engine (MCE) and Advanced Cluster Management (ACM). This vulnerability causes VCenter credentials to be exposed in the ClusterProvision object after provisioning a VSphere cluster. Users with read access to ClusterProvision objects can extract sensitive credentials even if they do not have direct access to Kubernetes Secrets. This issue can lead to unauthorized VCenter access, cluster management, and privilege escalation.

Title
Foreman: disclosure of executed commands and outputs in foreman / red hat satellite
Summary
A flaw was found in Foreman/Red Hat Satellite. Improper file permissions allow low-privileged OS users to monitor and access temporary files under /var/tmp, exposing sensitive command outputs, such as /etc/shadow. This issue can lead to information disclosure and privilege escalation if exploited effectively.

Title
Nextcloud Server's OAuth2 client secrets were stored in a recoverable way
Summary
Nextcloud Server is a self hosted personal cloud system. The OAuth2 client secrets were stored in a recoverable way, so that an attacker that got access to a backup of the database and the Nextcloud config file, would be able to decrypt them. It is recommended that the Nextcloud Server is upgraded to 28.0.10 or 29.0.7 and Nextcloud Enterprise Server is upgraded to 27.1.11.8, 28.0.10 or 29.0.7.

Title
Maven Archetype Plugin: Maven Archetype integration-test may package local settings into the published artifact, possibly containing credentials
Summary
Exposure of Sensitive Information to an Unauthorized Actor, Insecure Storage of Sensitive Information vulnerability in Maven Archetype Plugin. This issue affects Maven Archetype Plugin: from 3.2.1 before 3.3.0. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 3.3.0, which fixes the issue. Archetype integration testing creates a file called ./target/classes/archetype-it/archetype-settings.xml This file contains all the content from the users ~/.m2/settings.xml file, which often contains information they do not want to publish. We expect that on many developer machines, this also contains credentials. When the user runs mvn verify again (without a mvn clean), this file becomes part of the final artifact. If a developer were to publish this into Maven Central or any other remote repository (whether as a release or a snapshot) their credentials would be published without them knowing.

CVE-2024-47122 (GCVE-0-2024-47122)

Title
Insecure Storage of Sensitive Information in goTenna Pro
Summary
In the goTenna Pro App, the encryption keys are stored along with a static IV on the End User Device (EUD). This allows for complete decryption of keys stored on the EUD if physically compromised. This allows an attacker to decrypt all encrypted broadcast communications based on encryption keys stored on the EUD. This requires access to and control of the EUD, so it is recommended to use strong access control measures and layered encryption on the EUD for more secure operation.
