Details

A vulnerability in the processing of TCP MD5 authentication in Juniper Networks Junos OS Evolved may allow a BGP or LDP session configured with MD5 authentication to succeed, even if the peer does not have TCP MD5 authentication enabled. This could lead to untrusted or unauthorized sessions being established, resulting in an impact on confidentiality or stability of the network. This issue affects Juniper Networks Junos OS Evolved: All versions prior to 20.3R2-S1-EVO; 20.4 versions prior to 20.4R2-EVO; 21.1 versions prior to 21.1R2-EVO. Juniper Networks Junos OS is not affected by this issue.

Vulnerability from github – Published: 2024-04-12 18:33 – Updated: 2025-02-06 21:32
VLAI
Details

An Improper Handling of Exceptional Conditions vulnerability in the routing protocol daemon (rpd) of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows a network-based, unauthenticated attacker to send a specific routing update, causing an rpd core due to memory corruption, leading to a Denial of Service (DoS).

This issue can only be triggered when the system is configured for CoS-based forwarding (CBF) with a policy map containing a cos-next-hop-map action (see below). This issue affects: Junos OS:

  • all versions before 20.4R3-S10,
  • from 21.2 before 21.2R3-S8,
  • from 21.3 before 21.3R3,
  • from 21.4 before 21.4R3,
  • from 22.1 before 22.1R2;

Junos OS Evolved:

  • all versions before 21.2R3-S8-EVO,
  • from 21.3 before 21.3R3-EVO,
  • from 21.4 before 21.4R3-EVO,

Summary
Denial of Service in soketi
Details

Impact

What kind of vulnerability is it? Who is impacted?

There was a wrong behavior when reading POST requests, making the server crash if it couldn't read the body. In case a POST request was sent to any endpoint of the server with an empty body, even unauthenticated with the Pusher Protocol, it would simply just crash the server for trying to send a response after the request closed.

All users that run the server are affected by it and it's highly recommended to upgrade to the latest patch.

Patches

Has the problem been patched? What versions should users upgrade to?

Updating to at least 0.24.1 or the latest version.

Workarounds

Is there a way for users to fix or remediate the vulnerability without upgrading?

No. Upgrading is the only solution.

"details": "### Impact\n_What kind of vulnerability is it? Who is impacted?_\n\nThere was a wrong behavior when reading POST requests, making the server crash if it couldn\u0027t read the body. In case a POST request was sent to any endpoint of the server with an empty body, **even unauthenticated with the Pusher Protocol**, it would simply just crash the server for trying to send a response after the request closed.\n\nAll users that run the server are affected by it and it\u0027s highly recommended to upgrade to the latest patch.\n\n### Patches\n_Has the problem been patched? What versions should users upgrade to?_\n\nUpdating to at least 0.24.1 or the latest version.\n\n### Workarounds\n_Is there a way for users to fix or remediate the vulnerability without upgrading?_\n\nNo. Upgrading is the only solution.\n\n### References\n_Are there any links users can visit to find out more?_\n\nhttps://github.com/soketi/soketi/releases/tag/0.24.1\n\n### For more information\nIf you have any questions or comments about this advisory:\n* Open an issue in [the issues board](https://github.com/soketi/soketi/issues)\n* Email us at [alex@renoki.org](mailto:alex@renoki.org)\n",

VLAI
Details

A maliciously crafted MODEL and SLDPRT file can be used to write beyond the allocated buffer while parsing through Autodesk AutoCAD 2023 and 2022. The vulnerability exists because the application fails to handle crafted MODEL and SLDPRT files, which causes an unhandled exception. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code.

Details

On BIG-IP AFM version 16.1.x before 16.1.2, 15.1.x before 15.1.4.1, 14.1.x before 14.1.4.5, and 13.1.x beginning in 13.1.3.4, when a virtual server is configured with both HTTP protocol security and HTTP Proxy Connect profiles, undisclosed requests can cause the Traffic Management Microkernel (TMM) to terminate. Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated.
