GHSA-QP4F-2W67-C8HW
Vulnerability from github – Published: 2022-05-24 17:07 – Updated: 2022-12-16 22:56Jenkins 2.213 and earlier, LTS 2.204.1 and earlier includes support for the Inbound TCP Agent Protocol/3 for communication between controller and agents. While this protocol has been deprecated in 2018 and was recently removed from Jenkins in 2.214, it could still easily be enabled in Jenkins LTS 2.204.1, 2.213, and older.
This protocol incorrectly reuses encryption parameters which allow an unauthenticated remote attacker to determine the connection secret. This secret can then be used to connect attacker-controlled Jenkins agents to the Jenkins controller.
Jenkins 2.204.2 no longer allows for the use of Inbound TCP Agent Protocol/3 by default. The system property jenkins.slaves.JnlpSlaveAgentProtocol3.ALLOW_UNSAFE can be set to true to allow enabling the Inbound TCP Agent Protocol/3 in Jenkins 2.204.2, but doing so is strongly discouraged.
Inbound TCP Agent Protocol/3 was removed completely from Jenkins 2.214 and will not be part of Jenkins LTS after the end of the 2.204.x line.

GHSA-R2JW-C95Q-RJ29
Vulnerability from github – Published: 2024-10-02 06:30 – Updated: 2025-12-29 22:23Duplicate Advisory
This advisory has been withdrawn because it is a duplicate of GHSA-6878-6wc2-pf5h. This link is maintained to preserve external references.
Original Description
Versions of the package cocoon before 0.4.0 are vulnerable to Reusing a Nonce, Key Pair in Encryption when the encrypt, wrap, and dump functions are sequentially called. An attacker can generate the same ciphertext by creating a new encrypted message with the same cocoon object.
Note: The issue does NOT affect objects created with Cocoon::new which utilizes ThreadRng.

GHSA-V6XC-R9WM-438J
Vulnerability from github – Published: 2026-08-05 12:31 – Updated: 2026-08-05 12:31Kong Event Gateway versions 1.0.0 through 1.1.1 and 1.2.0 do not enforce key rotation before reaching NIST SP 800-38D recommended usage limit for AES-GCM encryption keys with random nonces when the AWS IAM encryption feature is enabled.
If a producer sends messages at a sustained high rate without key rotation, which only occurs on reboot of the Kong Event Gateway instance, the probability of a nonce collision becomes non-negligible. An authorized consumer who detects a nonce collision can recover parts of plaintext from the affected messages.
New versions 1.1.2 and 1.2.1 enforce automatic key rotation before the recommended usage limit is reached.

Vulnerability from github – Published: 2023-09-15 00:30 – Updated: 2023-09-15 19:03HashiCorp Vault and Vault Enterprise transit secrets engine allowed authorized users to specify arbitrary nonces, even with convergent encryption disabled. The encrypt endpoint, in combination with an offline attack, could be used to decrypt arbitrary ciphertext and potentially derive the authentication subkey when using transit secrets engine without convergent encryption. Introduced in 1.6.0 and fixed in 1.14.3, 1.13.7, and 1.12.11.

GHSA-VF9H-5C79-C2XP
Vulnerability from github – Published: 2026-08-28 18:31 – Updated: 2026-08-28 18:31wolfEngine before 1.4.1 sources the explicit AES-CCM nonce for TLS 1.2 and DTLS 1.2 records from the record input buffer instead of the TLS sequence number carried in the additional authenticated data. Because the record layer leaves the explicit-nonce field for the cipher to populate, the value read is constant across records, so every AES-CCM record within a connection is encrypted under an identical key and nonce pair. Reusing a CCM key and nonce weakens confidentiality (identical keystream across records, so a known record recovers the others) and integrity (authentication tag forgery). Only wolfEngine is affected; wolfProvider is not. AES-GCM under wolfEngine is tracked separately. AES-CCM cipher suites are not enabled by default and must be explicitly selected, which limits exposure. TLS 1.3 and non-TLS use of the cipher are not affected.

Mitigation
Refuse to reuse nonce values.
Mitigation
Use techniques such as requiring incrementing, time based and/or challenge response to assure uniqueness of nonces.
