CVE-2026-53348 — ASoC: SDCA: fix NULL pointer dereference in sdca_dev_unregister_functions

Affected: Linux

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

ASoC: SDCA: fix NULL pointer dereference in sdca_dev_unregister_functions

sdca_dev_unregister_functions() iterates over all SDCA function
descriptors and calls sdca_dev_unregister() on each func_dev without
checking for NULL. When a function registration has failed partway
through, or the device cleanup races with probe deferral, func_dev
entries may be NULL, leading to a kernel oops:

BUG: kernel NULL pointer dereference, address: 0000000000000040
 RIP: 0010:device_del+0x1e/0x3e0
 Call Trace:

 sof_probe_work+0x19/0x30 [snd_sof]

This was observed on a Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon G14 (Panther Lake)
with the SOF audio driver probe failing due to missing Panther Lake
firmware, causing the subsequent cleanup of SoundWire devices to
trigger the crash.

Fix this with three changes:

1) Add a NULL guard in sdca_dev_unregister() so that callers do not
 need to pre-validate the pointer (defense in depth).

2) In sdca_dev_unregister_functions(), skip NULL func_dev entries

USN-8726-1 — linux, linux-aws, linux-aws-7.0, linux-gcp, linux-gke, linux-hwe-7.0, linux-realtime vulnerabilities

Affected: Ubuntu:24.04:LTS: linux-aws-7.0, Ubuntu:24.04:LTS: linux-hwe-7.0, Ubuntu:26.04:LTS: linux, Ubuntu:26.04:LTS: linux-aws, Ubuntu:26.04:LTS: linux-gcp, Ubuntu:26.04:LTS: linux-gke, Ubuntu:26.04:LTS: linux-realtime

It was discovered that some Arm processors could complete a broadcast
translation lookaside buffer (TLB) invalidation before memory writes made
through the invalidated translation were globally observed. A local
attacker could possibly use this to write to memory after permission to do
so had been revoked, bypassing memory protections or escalating privileges.
(CVE-2025-10263)

Several security issues were discovered in the Linux kernel.
An attacker could possibly use these to compromise the system.
This update corrects flaws in the following subsystems:
 - ARM64 architecture;
 - User-space API (UAPI);
 - Kernel build system;
 - ARM32 architecture;
 - RISC-V architecture;
 - S390 architecture;
 - x86 architecture;
 - Block layer subsystem;

 - Character device driver;
 - Hardware random number generator core;
