CVE-2025-38477 — net/sched: sch_qfq: Fix race condition on qfq_aggregate

Affected: Linux, Siemens SIMATIC S7-1500 CPU 1518-4 PN/DP MFP, Siemens SIMATIC S7-1500 CPU 1518F-4 PN/DP MFP, Siemens SIPLUS S7-1500 CPU 1518-4 PN/DP MFP

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

net/sched: sch_qfq: Fix race condition on qfq_aggregate

A race condition can occur when 'agg' is modified in qfq_change_agg
(called during qfq_enqueue) while other threads access it
concurrently. For example, qfq_dump_class may trigger a NULL
dereference, and qfq_delete_class may cause a use-after-free.

This patch addresses the issue by:

1. Moved qfq_destroy_class into the critical section.

2. Added sch_tree_lock protection to qfq_dump_class and
qfq_dump_class_stats.

USN-7791-1 — linux, linux-aws, linux-aws-6.14, linux-hwe-6.14, linux-realtime vulnerabilities

Affected: Ubuntu:24.04:LTS: linux-aws-6.14, Ubuntu:24.04:LTS: linux-hwe-6.14

Several security issues were discovered in the Linux kernel.
An attacker could possibly use these to compromise the system.
This update corrects flaws in the following subsystems:
 - Packet sockets;
 - Network traffic control;
 - VMware vSockets driver;
 - XFRM subsystem;
(CVE-2025-38618, CVE-2025-38500, CVE-2025-38477, CVE-2025-38617)
