In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

iommufd: Protect against overflow of ALIGN() during iova allocation

Userspace can supply an iova and uptr such that the target iova alignment
becomes really big and ALIGN() overflows which corrupts the selected area
range during allocation. CONFIG_IOMMUFD_TEST can detect this:

USN-7276-1 — linux, linux-lowlatency vulnerabilities

Affected: Ubuntu:24.10: linux, Ubuntu:24.10: linux-lowlatency

Attila Szász discovered that the HFS+ file system implementation in the
Linux Kernel contained a heap overflow vulnerability. An attacker could use
a specially crafted file system image that, when mounted, could cause a
denial of service (system crash) or possibly execute arbitrary code.
(CVE-2025-0927)

Several security issues were discovered in the Linux kernel.
An attacker could possibly use these to compromise the system.
